About us
Ca' Corniani is the first and oldest estate of Genagricola 1851: this is where our whole story began.
Today the historic estate is a true multi-purpose hub, integrating its agricultural model with new culturally-oriented activities. A centre of experimentation that speaks of culture and territory, where the landscape becomes the engine that catalyses new energies.
Where we are
We are in the municipality of Caorle, on a strip of land enclosed by the course of three rivers.
Here the nearby Adriatic Sea can be felt in the salty air and is reflected in the flora and fauna that populate the land and the sky. The panorama of orderly crops stretching as far as the eye can see, crossed by the turquoise-green colour of the waters that recalls the nearby Venetian canals. It is a land rich in ecosystem and biodiversity: among the riverbanks and the cultivations of corn, wheat, poplars and fruit trees, it is not uncommon to encounter bees, dragonflies, hares, herons and seagulls, which provide the natural soundscape of the whole estate.
What we do
We are a true centre of advanced agricultural experimentation.
Our goal is to cultivate the land not only to guarantee food production in respect of nature, but also to take care of the rural, historical and environmental heritage connected to the countryside. Our agricultural infrastructure and rural architecture represent, in this sense, a cultural heritage of inestimable value.
A land that knows how to evolve
Our history spans two centuries of land reclamation.
A land that has always known how to evolve, offering cutting-edge services for the community that grew within it, Ca' Corniani was in fact one of the first examples of welfare in Italy, an example of social sustainability that marked the history of the estate and the region. But evolution also came through innovation: from the first historic steam engines to the future biomethane plant, the ability to harness technology in the service of productivity is a constant of the estate.
